Starting in Tangier and ending in Marrakech, the journey travels through the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen, the olive-growing region of Ouazzane, Rabat, Meknes, Volubilis, Fes, the Middle Atlas, Midelt, the Sahara Desert at Erg Chebbi, Dades Valley and Ouarzazate before reaching Marrakech.
The itinerary has been designed to avoid unnecessary backtracking while combining Morocco’s major highlights with more personal experiences, including an olive oil estate visit, traditional food tastings, a hosted family dinner, artisan encounters, Roman ruins, a camel ride in the Sahara, a luxury desert camp and time to enjoy spas, shopping and relaxation.
This is a fully private journey with a licensed English-speaking guide, private vehicle and driver throughout the trip.

Day 1 — Tuesday, April 6, 2027
Arrival in Tangier
Arrival at Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport.
Meet and greet upon arrival and private transfer to the hotel.
No organized sightseeing is planned on arrival day, allowing everyone to recover from the international journey, enjoy the hotel, book a massage or spa treatment, or explore nearby independently.

Day 2 — Wednesday, April 7, 2027
Tangier → Chefchaouen
Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart Tangier and travel through the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen.
Explore Chefchaouen’s medina with your guide, discovering its blue-painted streets, local markets, traditional architecture and food culture.
Enjoy local food tastings and lunch during the experience.
Free time later in the afternoon to wander, shop or relax.
Overnight: Chefchaouen

Day 3 — Thursday, April 8, 2027
Chefchaouen → Ouazzane → Rabat
Breakfast.
Depart Chefchaouen and travel toward Ouazzane, one of Morocco’s important olive-growing regions.
Visit a traditional olive estate and learn about local olive cultivation and olive oil production.
Enjoy an olive oil tasting followed by lunch at the estate.
Continue to Rabat and check into the hotel.

Day 4 — Friday, April 9, 2027
Explore Rabat + Hosted Family Dinner
Breakfast.
Spend the day discovering Morocco’s capital with your private guide.

Day 5 — Saturday, April 10, 2027
Rabat → Meknes → Volubilis → Fes

Depart Rabat toward Meknes.
Enjoy a visit to the UNESCO-listed Roman archaeological site Volubilis.
Continue toward the historic imperial city, focusing on selected highlights.
Lunch during the journey.
Explore the ancient ruins, mosaics and remains with your guide.
Continue to Fes and check into the riad.

Explore Ancient Fes
Breakfast.
Full-day exploration of Fes with a licensed guide.
Discover the historic medina, artisan neighborhoods, traditional workshops, souks and monuments.

- Weaving and craft areas
- Historic madrasas

The culinary experience will be incorporated naturally into the sightseeing day.

Day 7 — Monday, April 12, 2027
Fes → Ifrane → Middle Atlas → Midelt
Breakfast.
Depart Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Stop in Ifrane and continue through the cedar forest region.
Enjoy scenic stops along the route before continuing toward Midelt.
Lunch along the way.
Arrival in Midelt and time to relax.
Overnight: Midelt

Day 8 — Tuesday, April 13, 2027
Midelt → Merzouga → Erg Chebbi Sahara
Breakfast.
Continue south through changing mountain and desert landscapes toward the Sahara.
Arrive in the Merzouga / Erg Chebbi region.
Enjoy a traditional Medfouna lunch and learn about how it is prepared.
Later in the afternoon, ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Watch the sunset over the Sahara before continuing to the desert camp.
Dinner followed by traditional music and stargazing.

Day 9 — Wednesday, April 14, 2027
Erg Chebbi → Dades Valley
Breakfast at the desert camp.
Depart the Sahara and travel toward Dades Valley.

Depending on timing and the group’s energy level, enjoy a walk through the village landscape, fields, river areas and distinctive rock formations.

Dades → Ouarzazate
Breakfast.
Travel through southern Morocco toward Ouarzazate.
Visit Atlas Film Studios.

Ouarzazate → Marrakech

Arrive in Marrakech and check into the riad.

The exact monuments will be finalized according to opening schedules and the interests of the group.

Private meet and greet and transfer from Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport to the group hotel.
Arrival transfers will be coordinated according to the confirmed flight schedules of the travelers.
If guests arrive on different flights, individual or grouped transfers will be organized accordingly.

- 20% deposit upon booking: €675
- 40% second payment due in January 2027: €1,350
- 40% final payment due March 30, 2027: €1,350

Payments can be made securely online through our reservation system or by bank transfer.
The initial deposit confirms the traveler’s place on the private tour and allows us to begin securing the accommodation and services included in the itinerary.

Cancellation Policy
- The 20% deposit is fully refundable for cancellations made during 2026.
- From January 1, 2027, the 20% deposit becomes non-refundable.
- Once the second payment becomes due in January 2027, cancellations are subject to a charge equal to 60% of the total booking value.
- From March 30, 2027, seven days before arrival, the booking becomes 100% non-refundable.
- No-shows, late arrivals, early departures or unused services during the trip are non-refundable.
- Any non-refundable hotel, activity or supplier charges already incurred will also be deducted from any applicable refund.
- Where possible, Moroccan Food Tour will work with suppliers to reduce cancellation charges in the event of unavoidable changes.
- We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, interruption and medical emergencies.
Minimum Group Size & Pricing
This private journey is currently priced based on a minimum of 8 paying travelers plus Beth, for a total group size of 9 travelers.
If the minimum number of travelers is not reached, the trip price may need to be revised accordingly, or the departure may be cancelled if a workable arrangement cannot be reached.
If additional travelers join the group, the price per person may decrease depending on the final group size and confirmed services.
The maximum group size for this private departure is 12 travelers in total, including Beth.
